Smoke comes out of the exhaust vent.

This is not a malfunction. Oil smoke (oil mist) generated from the oil rotary vacuum pump body.
This is a phenomenon in which the internal lubricating oil is exhausted together when the gas taken into the pump is exhausted to the outside. It occurs most in the initial exhaust stage where the pressure is reduced from atmospheric pressure. Mist generation stops when the pressure reaches near the ultimate vacuum of the pump.
If you are concerned about atmospheric pollution, we recommend using an oil mist trap (optional).
